A Year in Review: JCCGCI

At Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI), 2022 is the year we shattered records. Our organization has grown in leaps and bounds, enabling us to provide comprehensive, free services to an ever-growing community of vulnerable and needy New Yorkers that represent all segments of the population.
  • Whether it’s a Holocaust survivor, receiving homecare, hot meals, and transportation to medical appointments, or a young student in Coney Island, empowered through our after-school program to resolve conflicts in a productive manner, JCCGCI is there to help.
  • Whether it is an unemployed individual seeking skills training, career counseling and job placement assistance or a crime victim in need of professional and practical support, JCCGCI is there to help.
  • Whether it is an immigrant or refugee in need of English language and civics instruction and entitlement benefit enrollment or a high school student with a troubled background at high-risk of dropout, JCCGCI is there to help.
  • Whether it is a Cash Assistance recipient in need of an internship to gain work experience and financial counseling or a nonprofit organization in need of capacity building technical assistance, JCCGCI is there to help.
  • Whether it is a gang member in need of guidance and support to transform their lives or a student from a low-income immigrant family in need of tutoring and homework assistance and productive ways to spend after-school hours, JCCGCI is there to help.
We couldn’t achieve these milestones without the energetic commitment of our staff, our community partnerships, and supporters like you.
We are proud to serve clients in all five boroughs, with 33 service sites across the city. Our fast-growing staff topped 375 this year, enabling JCCGCI to serve our growing client base. Thank you for continuing to champion our work, and empowering us to provide life-saving support to so many clients.
We look forward to another great year ahead.
