JCCGCI’s IPS- Internship Placement Services creates subsidized, unpaid, and paid internship experiences for NYC Cash Assistance (CA) recipients enrolled in HRA-approved educational programs. IPS is seeking a Case Manager for our Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens locations to assist with managing internship placement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing internship placements with NYC’s nonprofit organizations.
  • Placing participants in mandated internships in accordance with HRA and JCCGCI procedures.
  • Providing guidance and monitoring participants’ activities including:
    • Daily attendance.
    • Investigating complaints, and leading conflict resolution efforts.
    • Identifying resources for participants
    • Ensuring that every participant has a career-oriented constructive assignment.
    • Keeping a record of performance evaluations, mid-points, and exits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in social services, case management, career services, or related field required.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Reasoning ability; solution oriented.
  • Excellent English; Bilingual a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data entry.

 

This position is full-time, in-person, and 35 hours per week.

This position may be either Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens-based.

Annual Salary: $40,000-45,000
