Through JCCGCI’s Holocaust Survivors Against Hate video project, Holocaust Survivors share powerful firsthand testimonies about resilience, antisemitism, and the importance of standing up against hate. These moving videos preserve personal histories while educating and inspiring future generations through stories that must never be forgotten.

JCCGCI’s annual Pesach Food Distribution helped hundreds of families access essential holiday food and support ahead of Passover. From fresh groceries to holiday staples, this large-scale community effort brought dignity, relief, and care to individuals and families across Brooklyn during one of the most important times of the year.

JCCGCI is expanding its impactful after-school and summer programming to serve even more children and families throughout Crown Heights. Beginning this fall, students across four schools will benefit from safe, structured, and enriching programs that support academic success, creativity, mentorship, and personal growth.

Through technical assistance, training, and capacity-building support, JCCGCI’s NonProfit HelpDesk helps organizations across New York City strengthen their operations and expand their impact. Samantha Ross, Director of JCCGCI’s Urban Neighborhood Services program, was honored at Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton’s Women’s History Month Celebration for her leadership and dedication to the community. Through her work at UNS, Samantha continues to help connect individuals and families across Coney Island with critical resources, support services, and opportunities.

JCCGCI and The Blue Card came together for a meaningful Yom HaShoah commemoration bringing Holocaust Survivors, community members, and partners together in remembrance and reflection. The event honored the strength and resilience of survivors while helping preserve the stories and memories that must never be forgotten.

JCCGCI’s Meals-On-Wheels program provides homebound older adults with far more than nutritious meals. Through reliable meal delivery, wellness checks, and meaningful human connection, the program helps older adults remain safe, healthy, and independent in the homes and communities they know and love.

Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) is a community-based organization with a citywide scope, providing a wide-spectrum of senior citizen, career, educational, crime-reduction, mental health, community revitalization and related services benefiting all segments of the population. JCCGCI is also a technical assistance provider, offering capacity building services to nonprofits in all five boroughs through its NonProfit HelpDesk division (www.nphd.org). With 40 program sites throughout New York City staffed by almost 400 social service professionals, JCCGCI assists an average of upwards of 2,500 needy individuals and families each day.
JCCGCI’s Holocaust Survivor Support Services is one of the largest in the world, providing critical assistance to over 4,000 Holocaust Survivors annually. Services include Homecare, Transportation, Case Management, Friendly Visiting, Medicaid Appeals, Socialization, and Home Delivered Meals.
