JCCGCI’S RABBI MOSHE WIENER NAMED TO CITY & STATE’S 2026 50 OVER 50 “AGE DISRUPTORS” LIST

We are incredibly proud to share exciting news with our entire JCCGCI community. Rabbi Moshe Wiener, Executive Director of the Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI), has been named to City & State’s 2026 50 Over 50 “Age Disruptors” List — a prestigious recognition honoring leaders across New York who continue to shape and strengthen our city and state through service, innovation, and impact.

This distinction is not only a personal achievement, but a reflection of the decades of leadership Rabbi Wiener has dedicated to JCCGCI, expanding its reach and impact from southern Brooklyn to throughout the five boroughs. Under his guidance, JCCGCI has grown into one of New York City’s most comprehensive social service agencies, supporting thousands of individuals and families every single day. From a broad array of Holocaust Survivor Services and Older Adult Services, to Career Development, Violence Intervention, Adult Literacy, Mental Health and Educational programs, diverse Community Revitalization initiatives, and nonprofit capacity building, his vision has ensured that our organization remains responsive, compassionate, and impactful.

Rabbi Wiener’s leadership is rooted in dignity, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to those who rely on us most. In the City & State feature, he shared, “As an ordained rabbi, lecturer and author of more than 20 works on Jewish law and thought, I am guided by the conviction that a person’s purpose is to live for others.” His steady hand has helped JCCGCI expand its reach, strengthen its programs, and deepen its support for some of the most vulnerable members of our communities.
