Is there any cost to join the Gateway to Stability Program?+
No. Gateway to Stability is completely free, and there is no obligation to enroll after speaking with a navigator.
Who is this program for?+
Gateway to Stability is designed for adults who currently receive SNAP, recently lost their benefits, need to recertify, or may be subject to SNAP work requirements. We welcome applicants from any background — the program was created in response to a need UJA Federation identified within Brooklyn's Charedi community, and we're proud to serve that community alongside all New Yorkers who qualify.
What happens after I apply?+
A member of our Gateway to Stability team reviews your information and calls you for a short, free qualification conversation to confirm your eligibility and map out next steps.
Is my information kept confidential?+
Yes. Everything you share with our Gateway to Stability navigators is kept private and is used only to help determine your eligibility and support your case.
