OCEAN PARKWAY SENIOR CENTER

While catering primarily to seniors of a Sephardic Jewish background, the Ocean Parkway Senior Center provides services and activities that any older adult can benefit from. The center’s director, Esther Tashker, is attentive to the needs of seniors in frail health, overseeing the distribution of 240 meals six days a week to homebound elderly in the Flatbush / Sheepshead Bay area. Seniors who are mobile come to the center daily for a hot kosher breakfast and lunch, which is made even more enjoyable by the friendly group atmosphere.
